How to mount blinds inside window frame.
Select a blind with a width that will fit inside the space.
Don t go too narrow or you ll have gaps that reduce privacy and let in too much light.
For an inside mount you ll install the brackets inside the window frame and for an outside mount you ll install your mounting brackets on both sides of the window.
Take the brackets and line them up with the pencil marks you made in the previous steps.
Make sure that they are both evenly.
If you ve chosen to inside mount your blinds measure the width of the window space.
Measure the top of the grease pencil markings inside the window frame.
For outside mount measure the width you d like to cover up and select a blind with that width.
If your blinds came with a center bracket you will also need to install that.
Place one bracket along the left side of the window frame near the.
Use your level to ensure that the brackets are straight.
Drill or screw the brackets into the wall or window trim using the included hardware.
Place the brackets over the ends of the blind and then hold the blind inside the window frame in the location.
Mark the location of the screw holes on the wall.
Mark the outside corners gently with a pencil and set the blinds down.
