How to put up vinyl siding around windows.
Extract nails keeping the vinyl pieces in place in order to prepare vinyl pieces to be removed.
Mark the cuts for siding under the window position the siding to be notched below the window.
Nail it to the wall but remember not to nail it tightly.
Measure the width of the piece you need to cut by holding the length of siding against the window and marking the edge points on the panel with a pencil.
Install siding around windows.
The width of flashing you use beneath the window will be based on the placement of your vinyl strips.
Install the j channel vinyl siding around all four sides of a window or three sides of a door.
Place the new window in its opening and tack it into place.

For the window first position the j channel against the window casing.
Remove the pieces of vinyl siding from around the window area.
Do not cut the vinyl off.
Cut two lengths of channel for the sides allowing an extra 2 in.
When you get to a window you will need to cut sections from the panels directly above and below it to fit.
At windows cut trim channel to match the length of the sill and then nail it into place.
Ensure that the flashing along the bottom of the window overlaps the nailing hem of the last complete course of siding beneath the window.
It should be wide enough to slip under the bottom edge of the fin and overlap the nail strip of the siding below it.
Use a siding removal tool.
Mark it on each side of the window allowing an extra 1 4 in.
