It is possible to run out the rear of the truck though is would be negating some of the internal wiring in the gobi rack for the rear lights.
Where is the best and neatest way to run the wiring to the roof.
I was having a snoop around this arvo and i think i can run the cable under the black strip in the gutter to the front.
One circuit for the led flood lights.
Run along the driver side trim panel relays located under the hood for the light.
That eliminated doubling wires and still gave me an absolutely clean ground.
I currently have the rack off but can take some pictures and follow up.
The wiring will be much longer in lineal metres and less discreet however it is an applicable option and generally only needs cable ties to install.
The cabling is run along the length of the roof attached to the roof rack or rail and in the case of a ute will generally loop across to either the sports bar or headboard of the tray itself.
I used a dremel and drilled holes just big enough to pass the wires through.

Hi hawk if you have a snorkel fitted then you can run the wires up inside it ive run x2 30amp wires inside mine and it turned out great enter thru airbox up the snorkel in conduit and out thru top at the rear ive attatched a small anderson plug on a bracket so i can disconnect if need be to remove roofrack you dont even see a wire until it comes out at roof level plus its protected and makes.
This was the only way i could run the wires and keep them hidden as oppose to using zipties like ive seen others do.
Only wires go through the factory boot for all applications except one of them to use on the switch.
To run my entire roof rack light setup i ran one 10 ga ground wire direct from battery to a dedicated ground lug on the rack.
